Maintain a Beautiful Smile

Cherrywood Dental • Aug 27, 2013
Whether you’ve had cosmetic dental work done or not, your smile needs your help to maintain its present state. Our greatest enemy – time – is constantly working to diminish your pearly whites. As we age, our dentition wears down, spots form on our enamel, we lose teeth, and our oral health begins to suffer. But the future isn’t hopeless. There are ways we can slow and even halt time’s effects on our teeth and maintain our lovely smiles. With the treatments listed below, we needn’t lose the war life wages on our teeth.

Cosmetic Dental Treatments

These are a few cosmetic treatments that have the explicit purpose of minimizing signs of aging:
  1. Teeth whitening – Age and dark foods and liquids yellow teeth and cause spots of discoloration. Whitening works wonders to update an entire smile.
  2. Dental bonding – Bonding attaches tooth-like material to teeth requiring additional structure (like those with gaps between them or short front teeth). If bonding is not sufficient for the level of damage, porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns will rebuild teeth in a lasting way.
  3. Mouth guards – Stress and frustration can cause night grinding. Chronic teeth grinding will wear down your teeth and change the appearance of your smile in a negative way. Mouth guards protect your teeth from themselves at night and preserve your dentition.

Determining Your Personal Treatment

Before beginning any kind of dental treatment, we’ll discuss your aesthetic and functional goals for your mouth. By working with patients as a team, Dr. Artin Barzgar and Dr. Desabeh Pakpour establish bonds of trust. You’ll feel similarly once you’ve experienced dental treatment with Cherrywood Dental.
