How Does Full Mouth Restoration Work?

Cherrywood Dental • Dec 18, 2013
Tired of worn or missing teeth? Navigating life without a smile that brings you pride just isn’t fulfilling. Full mouth restoration is a comprehensive way to approach any teeth that are lacking. Our dentists will determine a series of procedures that will result in a beautiful, whole smile. Your full mouth restoration will be personalized, depending on your needs. Read on to learn about the steps of restoration, and the procedures that yours could involve – and get in touch with any questions!

Steps of Restorative Dentistry

  1. Consultation. In order to determine what needs to be done to your teeth, you’ll need to have a thorough discussion with Dr. Barzgar or Dr. Pakpour. We’ll talk to you about your restorative and health goals, and what you would ideally like your smile to look like. This consultation will allow us to lay the framework for your treatment.
  2. Preparation. If you’re receiving crowns, implants, or dentures, there may be necessary preparatory steps to take. Whether your teeth are being prepped for crowns, you’re receiving a bone graft to support your implants, or you need teeth extracted, we’ll get you familiar with the steps and comfortable with the process. There may be a healing period before you can receive the final restorations.
  3. Procedures. Depending on the restorations you’re getting, they will be put in place in a certain order. If you’re getting dental implants, those will be placed first to support accompanying restorations. With our revolutionary Teeth Xpress system, single day implant and crown placement is possible. Expediting the restorative process will give you your final smile quicker and more comfortably.
